This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) explains how We collect, store, use, share, or otherwise process personal information when You access or use Our website located at https://betteroo.ai (the “Website”) and the AI-powered personal assistant (the “Assistant”). and related features available through it (collectively, the “Services”).
The Website is designed to help parents and caregivers address everyday, non-medical parenting challenges via the Assistant. Depending on the features you choose to engage, you may complete questionnaires, receive tailored action plans, participate in community discussions, and obtain data-driven insights intended to support the practical management of parental issues such as infant sleep, daily routines, and family dynamics. All current and future content, tools, and functionality made available through the Website are governed by this Policy and our Terms of Service.
The Website is directed at parents, guardians, and other caregivers as well as any other individuals who access or use the Website (the “End Users”).
2. The Scope
This Policy governs our collection, storage, use, sharing, or otherwise handle (“Processing”) personal information, meaning any information that identifies, relates to, describes, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, to a particular individual (“Personal Information”). For purposes of this Policy, information is “identifiable” if it can reasonably be used – by itself or combined with other data We maintain or can obtain – to recognize or contact a specific person. 3. When do We Collect Information about You?
We collect Personal Information in the following circumstances:
- Website visits and interactions. When You browse, search, complete our online questionnaire (the “Questionnaire”), interact with the AI-powered Assistant, or otherwise use content, tools, or features on the Website, including through cookies and similar technologies that capture device and usage data. Questionnaire responses are kept only within your current browser session; unless you go on to create an account and choose to save them, they are automatically deleted and are not retained on our servers.
- Account creation and profile management. When You create an account, sign in, or update Your profile and communication preferences we store the details you provide – together with any Questionnaire responses you opted to save – as part of your account record.
- Engagement with personalized services. When You request web-based guides, tracking tools about the baby and you (mindset, feelings, etc.), tailored guidance, subscribe to newsletters, register for webinars or other events, join community discussions, or participate in surveys, promotions, or beta programs.
- Transactions. When You purchase paid services or products; our external payment processor transmits the relevant billing and contact details to Us.
- Communications. When You contact Us or We contact You by email, phone, chat, social media, or other channels for support, feedback, or other inquiries.
- Third-party sources. When Our service providers (e.g., analytics, hosting, or marketing partners) lawfully share information that assists Us in operating, securing, and improving the Website and Services.
If You submit Personal Information about any other individual (for example, a co-parent or child), You must ensure that You have all permissions or other legal bases required to share that information with Us.
4. Types of Information do We Collect
- Registration & Profile Information – When You open an account after completing the Questionnaire, You provide Us with basic details such as full name (or nickname), email address, country/state of residence, age range, and (optionally) Your child’s name or nickname and age range, gender, birth date, and due date in case born pre-mature or not born yet. We may also collect general geographic location information solely for the purpose of analyzing trends and generating aggregated insights.
- Communication Information – If You reach out to Us whether by email, social media, live chat, or any other channel – We collect the contact details You supply (e.g., email address, phone number, social-media handle) together with the substance of the correspondence.
- Questionnaire & Self-Assessment Data – As part of our onboarding Questionnaire, You may share non-medical information about daily routines (e.g., bedtime challenges), perceived stress levels, household schedule, and personal goals. These responses help generate Your personalized parenting plan (“Reports”) and are stored in de-identified form wherever feasible.
- Information from Third-Party Service Providers – To deliver certain Services We receive limited data from external vendors, including payment processors (e.g., Paddle) and analytics platforms (e.g., Mixpanel, Google Analytics).
- Usage & Device Information – We automatically log technical data when You interact with the Website: IP address, access timestamps, browser type, referring URL, device model, operating-system version, crash reports, and similar identifiers. Individually, much of this data does not identify You and therefore does not constitute Personal Information; however, when combined with other elements it may become Personal Information.
- Activity Information – We track in-app behavior such as modules visited, duration of sessions, completion of tasks, and interaction with coaching prompts. This telemetry lets Us refine content recommendations and measure feature effectiveness.
- Purchase Information – If You buy a subscription or other paid feature, Our payment provider will process the transaction and share a payment token plus limited billing details with Us (no full card numbers are stored on Our systems).
Aggregate Information
We may collect statistical, aggregated, and anonymized information relating to End Users for analytics purposes, including business development and Website improvements. Aggregated information is derived from Personal Information but does not relate to or identify any particular individual.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that any information You (or anyone acting on your behalf) submit to us is complete, accurate, and transferred in compliance with all applicable laws.
